My White Wagon, EA82 did Gain Much Power / Torque Without those Smog Stuff... I Removed both Exhaust Filters (Cathalitics) too, Even the EGR, etc...

But be Carefull with the Laws in your State... :burnout:

Would love to have more info on how to do this. I have an 82 GL that's giving me fits.... Since no garage in south carolina will touch it I am on my own. Any help from any one would be greatly appreciated.

removing the EGR will do NOTHING but make your car possibly ping. They only open under certain conditions and lower cumbustion chamber temps, they allow some exhaust gasses to enter the intake manifold. So removing it does worse for your engine, and the enviroment. The catalitic converters, if old and plugged up do make a large restricion, but new ones have hardly any noticable loss in performance or resriction, and they keep your exhaust from Stinking and remove exsess hydrocarbons in the exhaust = bad for enviroment, so unles its clogged up, i woulndnt bother, plus youll never pass an inspection or emissions without it.
