April 16, 200718 yr Had it running, but it quit and doesn't seem to get fuel or fire. All fuses fine, fusible links ok. The coils we tried wouldn't spark and the fuel pump doesn't pump. Cheched the filters too. It's an '87 Hatch std, with my JDM EA71 outta my wagon. We're stumped and we gotta get this car going. We're down in Vancouver, WA, gotta drive it up to Everett.
April 16, 200718 yr Author BTW, it was running fine and just quit and wouldn't fire back up. Guess I'm gonna skip work tomorrow.
April 16, 200718 yr Author The coil is hot on the postive post, but not on the negative post..... any advice would be nice, this is a real PITA.... Don't wanna towstrap 250 miles.
April 16, 200718 yr CHeck the "revolution sensor" It is a small relay lookin box with a "mitsubishi" 3 diamond logo on it. Held on by th ebolts holding the hood release or real close. If has to sense a pulse from the coil or else the fuel pump will not run. It also powers the auto choke and the Anti Dieseling solenoid, so if it isn't working the car won't run. Just a guess. If you've got a diagram of that thing you can bypass it.
April 16, 200718 yr ... any advice would be nice, this is a real PITA ... What is the Meanin´ of PITA?
April 16, 200718 yr Author The hatch does not have a revo sensor. Its an ea81. Pita is pain in the a$$
