oil leak

Featured Replies

hi there i have a 92 legacy turbo with a 5 speed and there is a leak out of the front of the motor im thinking the crank shaft seal or something like that

but also i will check the oil and it will be way too high on the stick but then later on i check it and its on the low mark

thats with just starting and letting it run for 5 min then turning it off and letting it sit for 30 min

i dunno kinda strange

like it will say lo when i get off work so i put in a little oil and drive it home it sits for a few hour i check it and its way too high

and all the time still dumping oil

i love how it smokes at stops when it gets the exaust

thanks for any ideas

Dipsticks on these cars are hard to read at times.

When was the last time a timing belt was done?

When you do the main seal, do the oil pump seals, cam seals, and really should do the timing belt (water pump and idlers if they never been done) all at once. This way your done with it for the next 60,000 miles (and 120,000 for the water pump).
