Here's a odd situation.

 

 

Looking thru 3 sperate manuals (2 FSM) and We can't figureout the torque spec's of the oil pump 5 bolts?

 

The PSI sensor, the filter, the lower plugs, the pan gaskets, the h2o pump, even the cambelt covers have known torque specs. but not the oil pump ... tell me that's not wierd.

 

so anyone care to find it and let me know? 1988 XT6 oil pump

 

(BTW typing with a left hand mainly is kinda awkward now)

ummmmmmm..........standard torque? LOL. I just made them a bit more than snug. Worked fine on both cars.

I couldn't find that torque spec in my 1990 Loyale FSM. Like WJM said, I made them just a little more than snug.

 

Funny that they don't specify a torque for those bolts, no spec for the water pump bolts in my book either...
