Cool timing belt change tip (crankshaft pully)

Not having a ST 499977000 tool or a face spanner wrench Doug Penland came up with this method of removal of the crankshaft pulley. (the photo was taken while we were putting it back on. to remove, the bar would be behind the upper extension and in front of the bottom one)

Or you could remove the flywheel access hole and stick a wrench in there to lock it up. You Decide:headbang:

Removal is easy; but your suggestion would help greatly in the replacement. Easiest way to remove:

1/ Dis-able ignition by unplugging most sensible item

2/ Put 22mm socket and breaker bar of suitible length and rotate by hand clockwise until the bar hits the fender well on the driver's side.

3/ Turn ignition to use starter motor to rotate engine momentarily. Just a short jolt is all that's needed.

I have a question and my question is this.

That is a #2 pencil

I saw no mention of drilling the holes out?

Note: This damper is from an EJ22T

The one from my EJ25 has larger holes

but the are in the rubber cushion only.
