July 2, 200718 yr Trip report, solo (thank GOD for audiobooks!) Whitefish > Pt. Ludlow > Whitefish over the weekend. Overall trip average 30.6mpg in the '06 Outback. Pretty much 75 with A/C on for the I-90 portion. BTW, whatthehell wa going on on Snoqualimie Pass yesterday afternoon? From the summit east to Ellensburg the west-bound lane was one continual 30 mile long PARKING LOT. Not stop-&-go, just all lanes not moving at all. No lights, sirens, helicopters or emergency vehicles noted, nothin' in the news today.

My guess is Spokane Hoopfest traffic heading back. 20,000 plus competitors (6,000 3+ member teams), quite a few from Seattle I'd bet, would cause some grief. This is common on holiday weekends, too. I used to live over there and had the 'pleasure' of doing the Ellensburg to summit stop-n-go.
