cd45
OK, I am having trouble with the daughter's car. When we brought it home, I knew there would be minor probs. I had to replace and hook up the fuel pump, and I can't find where the power wires hooked up. The pump that was in it was an after market, and not hooked up anyway. I have tore my Hayne's manual apart looking for this stuff, and I can't find it. Does anyone know where to hook the wires up? Please help. The car is a 1980 GL with the EA71 1.6L engine, single range 4WD and a 4 Speed manual wagon.
GeneralDisorder
Under the hood somewhere. They will only have power while cranking. Break out the MM, and check plugs while cranking. GD
cd45
I thought it would have power while the key was on run. My 1987 is set up like that.

cd45
Got it. Found the wire harness that the old pump was hooked to, and hooked the new one up to it.
