any negatives with running 14" rims/tires on an outback?

Featured Replies

any negatives or cons with running 14" rims/tires on my wife's 96 legacy outback? was thinking of swapping my 14" rims/tires from my 93 legacy wagon for her 16" wrx rims/tires. she really only uses the car to and from the park and ride. however, dont want any kind of safety issue going on with her car if we do do the swap.

They may not fit. The outback has larger disc brakes. If they do fit, swap the spare tire also for her car.

14"s clear the diameter of my 97 LSi front brake rotors, but depending on the source of the wheels they may not clear the width.

14" Chrysler steelies will fit the back, but not the front.
