Inner Tie Rod End Replacement

Featured Replies

Need some advice, appears I am having the problems explained in this old thread:

http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37894&highlight=crunching

Had the clunk coming from the drivers front end, now it is a crunching sound. Can't do this myself. How much should this cost to fix, is this something any mechanic can do or should I seek out one that works mostly on Subaru's and is the car safe to drive?

Thanks in advance

John

How much should this cost to fix

Inner tie rod end with boot $45-65 (I think the last one I bought was $45)

1 hour labor

1 wheel alignment

is this something any mechanic can do

Might as well get the alignment shop to do it.

is the car safe to drive?

It is a front end component, so if it is not too badly worn it would be ok to drive, funny........I can't quite see it from here.
