I have a 93 impreza and im looking at getting some 205 70 15 snow tires for it this winter and wondering if they will fit. Whats the biggest tire anyone here has run on a stock first gen impreza wagon?

You never want to go wider for a snow tire. The narrower the better. More pressure on the contact patch to cut through the loose snow surface and grip the packed snow below. I always tell people to look at the tires they run on WRC cars in the snow and ice events for the proof. I run 185/65/15s for snow tires on my Imps and Legs.

yep, get a narrow tire if you're going with snow tires. narrower the better. if the snow is bad enough to warrant snow tires, don't go wider.

Thanks for the tips. My existing tires dig through the snow pretty well but i end up getting high centered quite often so im looking for a taller tire with more ground clearance. current tires 185 65 14's all season

A few companies make 185R14 snow tires. Those would be about 2" taller than what you have.
