a plenum off a EA81 turbo engine will fit EA81 2bbl hitachis. If the EA82 turbo plenum is a different size, then that might fit the EA82 hitachis, otherwise, the neck of the EA82 carb is bigger then the neck of the EA81 carb and it won't work.

 

But for my car, there are no under-hood clearance issues. Ijust have to cut the rubber tube a little bit so that it's shorter and the bottom of the plenum will actually touch the neck of the carb. I measured it that way and it was fine.

i have heard this proclaimed before, but when i tried it, there is not enough of a flange on the carb. what are you doing, duct taping it on?

I used to have an SPFI tube off the carb, I think I can make this work.

it will fit on an ea81 carter/weber, too. suppose you can use a longer stud, drill a hole, and use a wingnut to hold the whole thing together
