97 OBW lights flickering

Featured Replies

I figure this might be simple but on occasion I have the dash and headlights flicker for awhile while driving, usually below 3000 rpm. I have a new battery FYI. I figure it's the voltage regulator and I believe it's internal with the alternator...any other ideas before I get a new alternator?

The problem may be with the internal regulator. Before replacing it I would have the alternator tested to see if it can produce full output and check the AC component of the output voltage also to make sure it isn't excessive.

Have the system tested, then price an ALT at one of the on line suppliers.

Check all your engine grounds also.
