will any ea-81 seat fit?

Featured Replies

well i need to hunt down seats for my hatch and was wondering if seats out of any 80-84 subaru would bolt in?

Yes, but if you want that handy lift lever behind the passenger seat they will have to come from a Hatch or coupe. The Brats, sedans and wagons didn't have them.

Should, I know BRAT seats did. The ones in the BRATs in the Culpeper yard are shot. There are a FEW otehr EA81s that might have better seats.

I have '82 Wagon seats in my Hatchback.

Even though I don't have the little foot lever, I did swap the "frame" section on the passenger seat so it still slides forward when tilted forward.

i have some after market prelude seats. a lot of welding and fabbing to put those in. but i used stock brackets with a inch and a half seat lift. cause i don't like how low the ea81 seats sit for a 66" tall midget like me.

A friend of mine has 2 seats in an '84 wagon he's parting out. He'd probably sell them both for 10 bucks, they are somewhat ripped up (that could be compensated by seatcovers I imagine). The problem is how much it would cost to ship from Dallas, TX... It's probably not worth it.

What about going to a JY? "Any" 80-84 Subaru should not be that hard to find.

And -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Don't give up, life will eventually get better.
