LPG Cars?

Featured Replies

Were LPG (Liquefied petroleum gas)

cars produced by Subaru?

I saw a few in Prague last week, BK cars, that had an LPG fill point mounted just below the stock fuel door, which was in place.

Just wondering if these were aftermarket or OEM. Never saw or heard of one before.

edit: i guess there are some DIY conversion cars out there: http://www.sbautogas.co.uk/recent_conversions/pictures/subaru_legacy_outback/subaru%20outback.htm

edit: strange. i searched the forum for "LPG" and this did not come up: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=82279

I didn't get any photos of the LPG cars, but here is a cool one I did snap:

There are no aftermarket kits aproved by the EPA for use in the USA.

As you can see from the other LPG post, its available in europe. If you are in a state here that is a real prig with emissions, you may have a problem getting inspected.
