are the front and rear axle shafts the same on ea82 gl wagons. i cant seem to find a listing on a rear one

I'm thinking not.

I know they are different on my EA81.

Maybe someone knows a part # for ya.

no they are not the same. just find one in a junk yard, the rears very rarely fail. or call MWE. after market axles are junk, i would avoid them unless you can not.

Rear's are easy to rebuild since they used DOJ's on both ends for most of them. Some of the EA82 rear shafts used a CV outer, but it's easy enough to find the double-DOJ units and just rebuild them.
