2K4 STI
Fixed my exhaust leak and i have Boost again. The Header to Manifold bolts were stripped out and i finally got around to fixing them. A few Junk yard studs,1 Helicoil Kit,2 new gaskets and about 2 hours of time and all is good now. My RX no longer sounds like a lawn mower
cobcob
Awesome!! I was under my Brat yesterday with some new gaskets, a new stud, a 7/16-14 tap and new locking nut... The Brat actually has some pickup now not to mention the exhaust sound is coming from the right place (behind the back wheels) instead of the wrong place (in front of the front wheels) Swinging the tap handle under there wasn't as easy as I had anticipated, the oil pan got in the way but I worked with it and got things squared away good and proper now! 2K4 STI
I was trying to use a tap handle also, but ended up putting the tap into a cordless drill and using it on the lowest/slowest setting. I also like the exhaust coming out where it should and not coming through the vents anymore
TheSubaruJunkie
I had the same problem with my RX. No boost on the gauge... poor engine performance. So I checked my up-pipe and found: So I took it to work and fixed it: -Brian
