Aux panel, mystery wires???

Featured Replies

What are the wires that run from the aux panel right on the front of the dash, drivers side.

On my 93 Impreza, there are three aux panels, the two on the left are empty, but behind the third, there were wires....I was just wondering what those wires are for.

I pulled them to add a switch for my amp and found wires...???

A quick look at a Chilton Manual would help out...however I aggree that it is probably wired for options that you may not have...such things like fog lights...trailer lights...Air suspension...Seat Heaters...ABS...etc

Just a guess..make sure things are not live if you plan on ripping it out! Otherwise you may be in for a shock! :brow:

The connector is for cruise control.

Thanks guys!

I re routed that to the middle of the three and put my amp cut-off on the outside...(Myoss Feece in the house) for easy access!

Josh!

could have been for the easy access push button start thats PIMP.

I figured that if it were for the fog lights and cruise, it would have bean on the other side of the steering wheel....(left, not right)

Josh!

It's for cruise. The plug for actuator under the hood is there, too. There was no fog wiring on '93-'96 (but factory add-on kit came with what's needed). The defrost button is a big one to the left of tach.
