EJ radiator into EA

Featured Replies

Way back I came cross a thread that was about Ea-82 Radiators, if I’m not mistaken the radiators were mounted where the spare wheel lays I remember seeing pics of that searched for it didn’t come across it.

And has anyone put n Ej radiator into n Ea engine? I would like to do that some guidance plz.

Thnks.

i attempted it onece, but i found the hose nipples are larger than the ea hoses, and you would have to cut into the core support to recess the radiator down enough to close the hood

The general consensus is get a liberty/legacy radiator and and put it in the EA82 frame and fit custom end tanks to it.

What did you mean by

the radiators were mounted where the spare wheel lays

The radiator is mounted infront of the engine, behind the bumper

I think he means something like this...........

However, this is still an EA81 radiator with the neck moved to the side

Hmmm why do that does it increase cooling???

Hmmm why do that does it increase cooling???

I did it so I could pull my bumper in and increase my departure angle. It actually runs to cool in the winter and just about right in the summer. Take a look at my pictures and you'll see why I did it. Later, Tim
