January 15, 200818 yr when setting the timing on my carbed 86 GL, after unhooking the hoses for my vacuum advance do i plug them or just let em suck?
January 16, 200818 yr If it's carbed then there's no vacuum signal to the distributor at idle with the throttle closed. So it really doesn't matter, and shouldn't actually affect your timing settings either way. Disconnecting them really isn't even required because of this. GD

Which does equal almost nothing

January 16, 200818 yr The proceedure recommended for the timing is to disconnect and plug the vaccuum line to the disty.
