301,302,303 Codes on 01 Legacy 2.5l

Featured Replies

Been having a few problems. The car has been hesitating, almost stalling, then surges. Really sluggish. I have changed wires, plugs, air filter, oil filter, fuel filter. Don't know what to do or check next.

Appreciate all help.

Also last time the timing belt was changed?

It has about 110 Miles. Belts changed at 100k, about 10 months ago. Its an Auto. OEM wires; infact everything is oem. I must admit, I am not sure if the Stealership changed Plugs, I will check it out.

I don't want to take it back to the Stealer.

I did have 301 and 302 code last week. It went away on its own.

Nipper, Thanks for answering my post.

Next time the CEL comes on, make note of the weather conditions, it will help us diagnose. Clear the codes, so we can start off fresh.

How long ago did this start?

'01 MY auto trans OB's got the A/F ratio sensors that were recalled.

Fairly problematic sensor, that causes all kinds of drivability problems.

i keep forgetting about that recall

that would do it.

Problem fixed when I replaced the front and rear O2 sensor. Thanks everyone. Goes to show the forum works.
