Fuel injectors 85 GL-10

Featured Replies

My question is can these be cleaned. I mean can I take them out and clean them by hand. I have a feeling with the hesitation in this car that one or more of them might be dirty to the point of clogged. I get the impression from the condition of the engine when I took it apart that it was just driven till it broke down. So can I clean them or will they need to be replaced? Thanks,

Richard,

Can be cleaned but not a DIY undertaking. Requires sonic equipment and other stuff most people don't have. Lots of businesses out there that perform this. You mail the injectors and they are taken apart, inspected, cleaned and flow tested so you end up knowing exactly the condition of each injecter.

What gives you this "feeling"?

Do you have evidence of poorly operating injectors?

They do not often fail or clog. Especially if the vehicle has been driven regularly.
