Roof bar question

Featured Replies

Will an '86 black roof bar fit on an '84 GL Wagon roof?

The roof bar I am referring to screws into the long slots, which have sliding keys.

I want a stock roof bar for an '84 wagon, and I may be able to buy one from an '86.

If you're talking about something that mounts in the gutter, no. EA81's are narrower than EA82's.

I am not referring to the edge of the roof, I am referring to the four long slots running along the length of the roof.

I'd assume they are wider. I don't have an EA82 with a stock rack anymore, I can go measure my EA81 though.

Yes, if you could measure your EA81, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to know the distance from the threaded hole one one side, to the threaded hole on the other. That is, center to center of the outermost roof slots.

Thanks!
