I've got a new downpipe to put on, and it's long than the stock downpipe, so I need to shorten the long mid pipe a bit, and was wondering if that section is double walled or not?

A lot of guys I have seen take the midpipe out and have a midpipe and rear section made of simply straight pipe from there. Nice and throaty that way. Get rid of that muffler and resonator in the middle.

 

At that point who cares how long the downpipe is.

I'm gonna have custom 3" exhaust the rest of the way back eventually, but not quite ready for it... $$$$$

do you need my STi midpipe? its off a 05, sitting in my ceiling joists of the garage.
