searched but no results. what kind of gear oil do i put into my rx's LSD. pretty sure it has never been changed in 166k

When I rebuilt my LSD i used some Castrol LSD Additive with regular Diff Gear Oil.

 

I did some research and found many who have done the same. I found both at my local autozone.

in my 3.700 LSD i used redline 75W90NS.

 

been through 4 races and my usual abuse

the redline stuff is recommended quite a bit here. saw

Kendall limited slip gear oil recommended a few times. it's been a couple years since i changed mine so i don't remember. found this while searching:

Fluid recommendations

Use gear oil with API classification GL-5 for open differentials and GLS for limited slip differential. Viscosity should be:

 

*SAE 90-above 30 deg F

*SAE 85W-above 30 def F

*Sae 80W-below 0 def F
