I Busted the Cat pipe, 97 OBW

Featured Replies

I ran over a tree stump!, busted the back cat pipe. Anyone have a used one laying around or know of a good source for a new one?

What section? The y pipe or the section just behind it? Single O2 Sensor or Dual O2 sensors on the Cat? I believe it should be dual O2 sensors. I may have one for you if you can wait 2 weeks until I be home.

It's the back Catalytic Converter section, it broke at the front weld seam, I'm going to try and have it welded in the morning. After getting it off the car, I realized were my exhaust leak had been coming from, as it looks like it had already been cracked at the weld, only a small portion of the seam looks like it was a new break. I'm waiting on another member to email me about his pipe for sale, I will get back to you if I'm in need of yours...thanks tho.....

I just swapped mine as well, i had a low mileage one from a 2002 Impreza RS that came with an engine I bought. I didn't think it would work but it fit perfect.
