Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an 01 forester, automatic transmission with 174000 miles. You can barfely hear it but when the car shifts from the 2nd to 3rd you can hear a little click sound. Any ideas? is this bad? I never had an automatic transmission.

any help or advice is great

thanks

I don't know when it was changed last. i just purchased it. It shifts fine and I am probably the only that can hear the click but I am paranoid about my cars and hear every little sound. I am going to have the fluid change wednesday.

don't know when it was changed. I just bought the car. seems to shift fine. and I am probably listening for every little sound since it is new but i will change the fluid asap.

My old honda was funny like that. On smooth roads on the 2nd to 3rd shift and especially on the 3rd to 4th shift you could hear all the internals clicking on the shift.

Never found out what it was but it never had any problems.

On my current 1990 Turbo Legacy you could hear the clicks going into 3rd. I swapped the auto out for a manual so couldnt tell ya if it had any problems. Just saying your not the only one that hears it
