I want to do the job myself but am moving to Fort Collins Colorado in six weeks and things are hectic around the house. I don't have the time right now. How long can I baby this thing - will it make it six weeks then trailer it to Colorado?

And yeah borrowed time. It hasn't overheated yet but i'm gonna be watching like a hawk.

Pull your thermostat out to keep the pressure from building. Try to keep your rpm's below 3000 and you could last a long time.

Worked well for me. Good luck.

Except it will trash your gas mileage. Just get it fixed. The longer you drive the car like this, the higher the possability of ruining the engine, especially if you want to go on a trip.

Well I agree with getting it fixed, I just have to make the time. I put a new radcap on it just for kicks but I think I can smell exhaust in the overflow tank. I drove it with the AC on in traffic and it did not overheat so I think the leak is still small.

Best place for a new gasket set?? 1stsubaruparts.com?
