June 16, 200817 yr That will be the easy way to go. I did my 98 with a early 90 Legacy. The attachment for the ebrake to drum was different, so I cut a short piece of heater hose to make the couplings stay together. It's working fine, but the next time I'd just grab the ebrake cables as well. June 17, 200817 yr I think they are different lengths. I remember reading about the swap somewhere online (non-usmb), and they ran a new parking brake cable, I think the disc brake one is a little bit shorter, would that make sense?
June 17, 200817 yr Author I think the disc brake one is a little bit shorter, would that make sense?coming from a larger/longer legacy (most common disc source) wheel base i think the disc brake e-cables tend to be longer. but there are probably some variants out there...like impreza disc cables (early imps, RS, later...etc).
