What had the 4.44 rear end gearing

Featured Replies

I think i remember that some late 90s legacys/outback had 4.44 as a final ratio with their automatics.

does anyone have the gear listing for autos. i have the one for manuals but it doesn't cover autos.

it's difficult to find a definitive list...i've searched, and looked and blah blah blah, there isn't one as far as i know.

you just have to go with the general ideas about make/model.

like 1998 Legacy OBW AWD Auto...that should be a 4.44.

sure sure i'm sure i will find those laying around.

but thanks for the info on the RS, i know some newer turbo foresters and bajas had them. but that's a little newer then i think i will be able to find and afford.

96-99 outback automatic, 96-99 legacy GT automatic, and all forrester xt turbo and outback xt turbo had 4.44 gearing. Most JDM STi's also had 4.44

I have one of the 3.545 LSD rear diffs. Still trying to find out what they are worth so I can sell it!

well i called up jhot imports after getting a ej20 , needing the matching rear diff for it(4.444) and thats what i got. 125. should be posi too.

thats what i'm hoping to pay around that.

I could get you one from an outback, it wouldn't be LSD but shipping across the country would kill the deal.
