ea series TPS on EJ18 TB..

and add in the escort disty... (problem herei s the later FI has the light in it) so 85-86 only...

I think it would work... any thoughts?

drew - what are you trying to do?

run an EJ on the stock EA series electronics? that's what you're title sounds like.

but then you mention the escort dizzy, so it sounds like you're talking MS?

Have you looked to see if the EA series throttle body will bolt to the EJ intake manifold or possibly just make an adapter?

crank angle sensor. I guarantee the EJ CAS is not programmed the same as the EA one.

also.....why? half the advantage to the EJ motors is the superior computer. the EJ series logic module is very intelligent.....and the wiring is not all that difficult. making it work on the EA computer would be a lot of work with zero gains (or less).

I'm not actually doing it... (I actually love my EA82!)

I just think it could be done... but only on an 85-86 non crank angle car...

it's more an idea... the escort dizzy fires the coil the computer reads that....

somehow I thought it was something worth exploring.... but the truth is most of these cars are carbed or spfi
