I just got me a weber carb for my '87 wagon.,I'm just trying to make sure I have everything I need.Do I just need the adapter plate and filter or would their be anything else.Where would be the best place to buy the adapter.Does Redline sell them seperate or do you have to get the whole kit.

Redline sells them seperate so you don't need to buy the entire kit. The filter and the adapter plater should get you going. I think that should be all you need.

Do you thing the fuel mileage would pick up.It was getting about 18 to 20 mpg and backfiring all the time.Is there any hood clearance problems with the big square K&N filter.

IIRC unless you are lifted, you will need the short K&N filter. I have found that the cable holder for the Weber is a great way to keep the cable in the correct position.
