October 1, 200817 yr Ive read about all the things i need to look out for when lifting an EA82. I cant seem to find out if there is going to be any problem with the AC on my car once its lifted? I thought i read that some time back. Thanks.
October 1, 200817 yr there is a lot of hose there on the EA82 AC lines. the long line bolts to the spare tire shelf, all you'd have to do is make a cheap dropdown bracket for it. As for the other one goes I think it will be fine because you are lowering the engine and the condensor stays in the same spot so lengthing shouldnt be needed.
October 2, 200817 yr Author Easy enough. This car also has the mechanical fan. Is there any concern with the fan after the motor is lowed however many inches?
October 3, 200817 yr With a properly functioning radiator, water pump, thermostat, and radiator cap you won't need more than the electric fan. Clutch is probably worn out on that old clutch fan anyway! Also the thermoswitch in the radiator (which operates the electric fan) is prone to failure given the age of the vehicle. Most people just wire up a manual toggle switch or you can replace the thermoswitch. If you really want to run the clutch fan you'll have to either remove the fan shroud or cut the bottom half of it out so that the fan won't interfere with it.

I don't have a clutch fan on my brat, just an electric and it never gets hot.
