I am doing the timing belt on my 92 legacy right now and I noticed my cam is damaged. I have ej18 parts here in shop and was wondering if the cam from that is the same before I pull it out. Anyone know? Thanks

This belongs in the New Gen forum, and as to the cam - almost certainly a different profile and likely a different design as the EJ18 uses a quite different lifter/rocker arrangement. I would source a proper 22 cam as they are quite common.

how can you tell your camshaft is damaged from doing a timing belt?
