coolant leak.....

Featured Replies

alright on my ea82T theres a 1/4 inch heater hose the goes from the t-stat housing to the bottom of the manifold... do i have to pull the manifold to fix this or how would you do it... it looks to have a spring clip on it but i am unsure because i had to use a mirror to see it leak

That damn little thing. I don't think it is possible to replace it without pulling the intake manifold.

It'll give you a good chance to replace those intake gaskets at the same time too.

Mike, the engine has low miles on it so the gaskets would be in good shape since it was rebuilt.

Anyways, yes, easiest thing to do is to pull the intake. You could try and replace it with the intake on but its not going to be easy. This also gives you the opportunity to put new hose clamps on it if they weren't replaced when the engine was done.

Either way, someone is going to be having too much fun!:banghead:
