gen3 headlights only work while holding dimmer in rear flash position

Featured Replies

yes, that's right headlights worked fine before car was shut off for about 1/4 hr, but when restarted, headlights did not turn on unless dimmer switch held in the rear - "flash to pass" position - so I had to drive home about 5 miles and 10 minutes with my middle finger on the trigger :-\

I tried restarting car, and turning switch several times, always :dead:

Nothing in the forward position either? I had that happen once, where the low-beam relay went out, but the hi-beam relay was still working, so forward and pulled back, the hi-beams worked, but no lo beams in the normal position. But if the hi-beams don't work in the forwards position, then it sounds like the switch itself died somehow, not the relay.
