Last trip out broke a stub axle on a large concrete obstacle

I made a splined ring to aid getting the stub out of the doner diff, I cut the splined hole off a junk axle cup then held it with a pipe wrench worked good, then used a 8 mm 6 point socket to get the funny bolt off, wrong tool all I had ,the correct tool is a E10 torx Socket

3 years as a wheeler and still going. Just shows that if you fix all the things that break, and have a good upkeep on them they will last. Crazy thing is there are very little dents in it.............

I think I have gone on 98.453% of the trips this car has gone on. It has served it purpose very well, We can only hope to see it for the next 3 years...........or more!!!!!!!!!!

Good evolution of a wheeler Soob.

Mines on 2 years now.

As much as I want to move up the wheeler foodchain.

I think I'm gonna try to make it go for many more.

I look at picking up a different rig but can't help but think of all the awesome times I've had in it.

Exactly. I love the looks on people's faces when they see, what they think is, a station wagon mobbin' down trails or across the sand dunes.

Yes, you could go the route of a Toyota or something that was more meant to be offroaded, it may be fun. But not as much of a challenge. They have a bigger aftermarket support than our old Subarus do, so it makes modding your Subaru more a personal thing since you usually have to make the pieces yourself.

The sense of accomplishment must be higher with a Subaru.
