Rear springs squished! Need stronger replacements...(help!)

Featured Replies

My lifted (4/4) 86 gl wagon is bottoming out in the rear over every little bump. It is not hitting the bump stop, the springs are just fully compressing. I've found with some searching that 86-89 front honda accord springs will fit, but I wasn't sure what model, or if it even mattered. Just wanted to ask the question directly so I don't buy the wrong ones :-\

Thanks,

Pyro

My Subies Have the Rear Springs from Honda`s Front ones, not 100% Sure but I Believe they came from an 89 Accord. I took one of my Subies Original Springs and went Searchin` at a Local Junk Yard untill I Found them, back in mid 1990`s Decade... They have the same measurement but Thicker -so Stronger- and I Believe they have more Turns than the Subie ones.

Also both my Subies got Front Springs from Ford Tempo`s front ones... they have the same Measurement but two more Turns.

I Suggest you to take one of your Subie`s Springs to a Junk Yard and Search for the Right ones by Comparison.

Good Luck!
