January 17, 200422 yr Does anyone know where I can find the HP / Torque curves for a stock EG 33? I have just fitted on into a jetboat and want to know what power i'm producing at 3200rpm. TIA.

You are most likely close to peak torque at 3200 rpm, however. Have a look around the web...there should be a number of SVX enthusiast sites. Mind posting some pictures of this monster?
January 17, 200422 yr Author I want to get it up to 5000rpm, approx half way between the peak torque and peak HP. Here's a pic. For more pics check out http://www.nzjetboating.com/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=537 There's a fair bit of BS to wade through but a heap of pics too.

I see you've no pulley at the (front) end of the crankshaft. How are you driving your accessories? Is that the stock intake manifold?
January 18, 200422 yr Author Intake is stock, the only accessory req'd for the jet is the alternater which is mounted on the rear of the engine. This allows more room for the back seat in the boat.

January 19, 200422 yr Glad to see your fueling the project on Speights! It makes the job SOO much easier!!

It can depend on the type of dyno that was used as well.
January 20, 200422 yr awd and the tranny in general suck up at least 40% the SVXs power. sad but true. first biplanes now a boat. whats next, eh? anyone putting an eg33 into a go-cart?
January 20, 200422 yr Author 40%... i'm sure glad i'm not using any transmission... or A/C... or power steer! Also with an aftermarket ECU I could be developing more than the manufacturers power rating??
January 20, 200422 yr yeah, I'd say you'll do a lot better with an aftermarket ECU, since you can tune it for performance & to run right, rather then for emissions.
January 21, 200422 yr 176 whp is not that bad with a auto AWD, a stock Mk3 supra turbo 5spd (230 horse) will put out around 195 whp. I gtec pro dynoed my dads legacy, ej18 put out a amazing 70 whp.
