97 outback sport quarter panel

I have a 97 wagon that had really bad rust on the right rear quarter panel, I was trying to either find a replacement? if that is more cost efficient than finding a shop to do the work. I am in the pittsburgh pa area and was just trying to get pointed in the right direction. I have not been led wrong here sp far.

I don't know that there is a cheap and good route. This is a bad area with at least 3 different body panels welded together.

 

I've cut off some sections from cars I've sent to the crusher, how big of an area are you talking?

 

Anyway you look at it, getting a body shop to do quality work will not be cheap.

I know you can get replacement panels. I know a dealer near me can get them.

In our area good rear wheel well's are hard to come by.

 

PM me and I can give you a few JY's to call that I've had success finding Suby parts at.

 

But when I looked for early 90's front fenders/panels I struck out.

 

Never looked for the later model stuff. I'm sure the dealer could get them. But it may be cheaper to just purchase another car.

 

Otherwise a rust free panel from somewhere else sent to you sounds like the best option.

yeah I have been looking around online for body panels and no luck. Especially trying to find a rust free panel. I have not checked into the dealership for replacement panels because I know it will cost me a arm and a leg. I have found on line a wide body wagon kit that gives replacement quarter panles the rear doors and front fenders for a pretty decent price.

I will need the entire right quarter panel going into where the door fits a little(hopefully just surface rust)need to check into it, but really on the wheel well.
