marinehrnt
I have a 92 Loyale with the check engine light on, the first code I got off it was 34. I wired in a resistor to "fool" the computer which seemed to have worked as code 34 is no longer flashing. I reset the codes and the check engine light came on again. This time I get code 32 (O2 sensor), have not seen this code until I reset the codes after clearing the egr code. Could this be related or is it just a strange coincidence that I would suddenly get another code that was not present until I wired in the resistor? DaveT
Probably a coincedence. How old is the O2 sensor? Has the engine been running properly? I have had no trouble using the Bosch O2 sensor from NAPA in my EA82s.
marinehrnt
The O2 sensor is old, at least 8-10 years I would guess. It has been running ok but until it gets warmed up it has a really bad hesitation but smooths out when it gets up to temp. I will check with Napa, thanks. bobs97c5
What purpose does the O2 sensor serve if you no longer have the stock carb and have upgraded to a Weber? The reason I ask is that I have upgraded to a Weber and also get the ECS code 32 after driving about 8 miles.
DaveT
There seems to be confusion here - A 92 Loyale would have been SPFI. I didn't see any reference to the OP installing a weber. But I have missed things ocasionally. An O2 sensor that old wouldn't surprise me if it were bad. Side note / trivia: The EA82 O2 sensor is a lot cheaper than the 2 required for a 2001 Forester. Code 32 on your Carbed car is for One of hte duty solenoids that controlled the slow and main air bleeds for mixture adjustment. Since the solenoid isn't there, the ECU eventually see's it as *failed* and throws the code. Just take out your stupid computer, it isn't doing shiiite

Sorry for the confusion. 10-4, remove the ECU for my Weber'ed EA82 and call it good. Thanks Gloyale.
