Help, need Rod and main bearing source

Featured Replies

Had my crank ground 10/10. Now I am having a heck of a time finding a source for oem rod and main bearings. Even the dealer has to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get them from Japan. I would really like to go with oem bearings but cant wait any longer to get the Soob back together. Anybody have some secret sources or good experiences with aftermarket bearings that might be more available? CCR is even having a tough time getting them. Thanks.

Your NAPA store can get them, either from Beck-Arnley or from Clevite. They have to be ordered from the manufacturer either way, but both of them have sweetheart deals with FedEx to overnight them for less than $10. Don't let your store charge you more!

Clevite #'s:

MS-1571-AL-.25mm (main set) $48.49 red sheet price

CB-1217-P-.25mm (rods, need 4) $42.76 red sheet

Beck-Arnley #'s:

014-6062-10 (main set) $61.49 red sheet

014-6441-10 (rod set) $46.49 red sheet

Partsamerica.com has the same part numbers but 23$ for rods and 31$ for mains. Still can't get them this week tho. I was hoping someone might have an immediate source.

I've been told that beck-arnley repackages NDC bearings which are OEM. Anybody else know this to be true?

Overnight is not immediate enough?

Check with Garner on the Beck repackage question - I sold him some Beck stuff recently.

I just ordered rod and main bearings from firstsubaruparts.com. Call them though, don't order from the website, as it isn't always right according to the guy I talked to on the phone.

Thanks for the input snowman but they are back ordered also. I'm gonna call beck-arnley tomorrow and get the skinny on who makes their bearings. If they are indeed NDC I will order them from from one of the local parts places.
