Front bumper interchangability - Outback to OBS ?

Featured Replies

I really like the early Outback front bumper with the big round fog lights. Something like around a '97 Outback... would that bolt on to my '97 OBS ? I'm just not dig'n the OBS front bumper with the little square lights and rectangular amber lights.

i don't think so, but only because i've never known impreza and legacy body parts to swap. none of the other body panels swap, so i doubt the bumpers do. unless someone knows for sure probably a good idea to get the entire bumper assembly, not just the cover, if you can. at least they'd be the easiest to fit if it did require some massaging.

Impreza and Legacy are two different body sizes. No body panels or bumpers will interchange.

I thought the Outback wagons looked a little wider =(

Thanks!

i was wondering about that, because that's what i thought too. but how are they wider? seems like they are, but at the same time the transmissions, axles, and hubs are all interchangeable. guess the body is just a bit wider somehow?

Legacy outback bumpers will not fit on an Impreza Outback sport.

If you want the big round foglights, look for a 99-01 Impreza RS bumper. You may need the matching hood, lights and grille. I'm not sure on that.
