some autocrossing i did

Featured Replies

this was my very first autocross event ever. I was a bit nervous at first then i got more comfortable throughout the runs, i only hit 1 cone out of the 5 runs on the 1miles course it was.

enjoy:

First run started pretty slow but you were getting faster though it. I would of personally used more revs. Some of the corners it sounded like you dropped blow 2500rpm. More revs gives more grip around hard corners. Keeping the revs between 3000 and 5000 should help I would think. Also shifting down before corners so the revs are high and powering around the corner (remember not to brake at all while turning in all the braking should be done before the turn at all) should give you some better speeds. And it will feel much better. Otherwise for a first run its pretty good. I'd love to have a car I could go to an autocross with. Someday soon I will I hope.

Very cool, did you have fun? I've been autoxing for a few years now and it is a blast! Only advice I have is get more time behind the wheel, and ask an experienced driver to ride along with you a few times to give you pointers. Oh, and work on your hand-to-wheel placement.

Ahh, yeah bad clutches can be a pita especially when you need to go home in that car.

Not to hi-jack but this is a video from my first racing, not quite like autocross...

Its good to watch through the videos then you can see where you need to improve :)
