June 1, 200916 yr I want a 70s coupe, 2door, or sedan... decided I want a Subaru that is truly historic. I want to save up over the next year and see what might be available. for some reason the brats and wagons just don't interest me.... anybody got tips, advice?
June 2, 200916 yr What he said ..... save - search - pay for metal worth saving. Beware of anything that sat over grass for a long time. Pay for shipping - have a garage to work in and keep it in.
June 3, 200916 yr Author yes, moosens I appreciate the help you've already given me. I do have a place with a roof. no walls, but a roof.
June 3, 200916 yr . Beware of anything that sat over grass for a long time. Pay for shipping - have a garage to work in and keep it in. That reminds me I need to move my GSR from where it is. its heading to winter and ive got it parked on the grass because im lacking space. what makes it worse is the drain is blocked at the lawn is one giant puddle:-\
June 3, 200916 yr Hey Drew.. I am with moosens...be prepared to have it shipped...it is really worth it in the long run. Good Luck
June 3, 200916 yr cool drew, hope you find something! they already said it and i'll affirm it by saying avoid rust. that's the reason i went with this XT6 from texas. it's not nearly as nice as i thought in many other respects (so choose carefully, get lots of info and picks) but in terms of rust it's amazingly free of it and easy to work on. surface rust on panels or certain areas isn't a big deal but in certain places a little rust turns into almost impossible to fix very quickly - like just a couple years.
June 4, 200916 yr Author oh yeah the XT I bought from Rick in Utah is basically gone body wise. I keep hoping I find one in Bama... but you know that's a long shot.
