in the crash, the timing case was bumped knocked the belt out. so ill fix that......until the ring with the marks on it came off the sprocket. i was tring to bend out a small dent and now what? it was goiing to be sooo simple... thanks

Where is it on the engine?

 

The only things i can think of, well, that has to be one hell of a dent in the front end.

Are you talking about the front of the engine where the crankshaft pulley is?

Is it situated directly behind the pulley and goes up to 20"?

 

I'm not too sure that is essential.

I completely rebuilt the top end of my 2.2 and I never needed to use those

marks.
