July 6, 200916 yr Hi - don't know if this is old news, but I was having trouble finding Lift Gate Stays for a 2003 Forester and came across http://www.subarupartsforyou.com Dealer parts counter priced at $69 each, ordered them for $49 ea. $10 ship is not a bad deal considering cost and time driving to the dealer. They are a branch of a very successful dealership in CT. "At SubaruPartsForYou not only do we offer lots of accessories we also have a huge inventory of genuine Subaru parts priced far below Subaru's factory list prices. With over 35,000 part numbers available, we have or can get any part for just about any Subaru. Please email us with your part request or inquiry and we will contact you with availability and prices. You can use our "contact information" tab at the top of this home page. Please give as much information as possible if you are inquiring on parts other than accessories, including VIN number, model, year, engine, etc. We will attempt to give you a timely response regarding prices, etc..." July 6, 200916 yr since I have many local dealers to choose from I usually just look at several of these online sites and take the best number to my dealer and see if they can match it, or come darn close. They recognize me enough to know not to even quote me retail
July 6, 200916 yr there's a few online places that offer cheap pricing - essentially about 20% over their cost. subarupartsforyou subarugenuineparts 1stsubaruparts liberty Subaru take your pick. i do the same thing, request online pricing from dealers.
July 6, 200916 yr without the discount dealers above, I would find my ownership of Subarus in the decline status. Thanks to the discount parts dealers.
