There are several codes related to the throttle position sensor. What's the specific code (not the code definition)?

In addition to stalling as already mentioned, the idle quality and engine performance in general can be compromised. Also, automatic trans operation can be affected by incorrect TPS data.

EDIT: By the way, the problems might be intermittent.

There was a rash of these last year suddenly. I sold 3 in a few weeks and that's all that I sold last year.

Do some additional research. I'd consider swapping the whole throttle body rather than trying to set that sensor. I'm a little electrically challanged though. So resetting it looks lika e huge pain to me.

The screws that hold in that sensor I use an impact on - they are easy to screw up the heads on.

In my experience most TPS codes are because of a dead spot in the sensor. This can cause the engine to surge or not respond at all. Its not hard to replace it, but you should post the actual code here for some further information before you go buying one.

My 2004 6h outback displayed code P0122. Is it possible to find Haynes or any repair manual. Apparently the Haynes manual does not include info on the 6 cyl.!
