changed fuel line and lost oil pressure

Featured Replies

so i pulled the fuel line hose to replace it and realized i had bought the wrong size. i put it back on and lost oil pressure... i was pissed because an oil pump on an EA82 is 150 bucks. i decided to start the car today and i had pressure! bad news is i went ahead and replaced the hose and lost pressure again. im confused.

The gauge and sending unit are electrically coupled. Chances are you just found a wireing short or loose connection while you were changing the hose.

i also replaced a vacuum hose and fuel return line as they were all showing signs of wear. i didnt touch any wiring and the oil pump sensor is on the other side. could air in the fuel line cause the ecu to function improperly?
