Scott in Bellingham Posted November 23, 2005 Share Posted November 23, 2005 on the Nissan pickup whats the gear ratios for the diffs and is the diff the same outercase as the soob?, I know the axle shafts are beafier and bolt up with flanges , the case looks similar, if the ratio is the same as a soob I was thinking of running a front nissan set up in the rear of the soob , also whats the ratio in the transfercase? I guess you've never seen a Nissan front diff before. Fabbing a solid rear is a bit more work than setting a front diff in the rear. Scott, the ratio's are 4.37 and 4.62 The front diff is a R180. Slightly larger housing. I am not sure if the overall dimensions are the same though. It may bolt up. A LSD center won't fit though as it is smaller than the Nissan center. soobme Posted November 23, 2005 Share Posted November 23, 2005 The transfercase ratio is 2.02:1 in low, and 1:1 in hi. That's for all the years that use that 'case.
