bought a 95 awd a/t wagon with a bad wheel bearing , got alittle hot driving home what damage could have happaned ?melted booth on rear axle how hard is it to replace rear wheel bearing , or buy a used hub with good wheel beaing already in it

If it got hot enough to fade the brakes, good chance you also warped the rotors and glazed the pads. I'd be replacing those and bleeding the burned brake fluid out.

 

There's about a 99% chance that bottom bolt is rusted and won't want to come out. Get your sawzall ready.
